This is an 1980's replica, still over 40 years old!
This stein dates back to 1910 and commemorates the 1st High Seas Torpedo Boats Flotilla, which was based at Wilhelmshaven, Germany on the North Sea. The flotilla played a crucial role in naval operations during that time.
The stein features intricate details, including emblems, flags, and sailors. The pewter lid showcases a sailor holding a German naval flag with four quadrants, one of which bears the iron cross.
The thumb lift depicts a lion holding a shield.
What makes this stein interesting is the lithophane—a hidden image revealed when light passes through the bottom of the stein.
The lithophane shows a uniformed man bidding farewell to a woman.
Holds 0.6 liters and a height of 11" (to the top of the flag), this stein is an impressive display piece. Its diameter at the base is 4 5/8" (3 inches at the rim).
Pristine condition, no chips, cracks or flaws
