The Fratantoni family has been making these First Stones for Vietri the famous Italian ceramic maker since 1985. The idea of a First Stone comes from ancient beliefs that placing these on the wall of a house or garden assures blessings and prosperity . ( see explanation on back of tile) tile is thick terracotta and has a hanger on the back. This Rabbit is a charming example of the traditional style of the stones produced. Tile is 5 1/2 by 8 3/4 .
