I usually send at least 16-20ish depending on the size of the roots and what will fit in the largest priority shipping box up to 5lbs. Each stem is a plant and many have multi stems & can be divided. They have beautiful deep vibrant purple delicate blooms and can get 3-4 ft tall (or taller). Stems are a deep burgundy with green leaves. You can let them grow tall for a fantastic back drop with beautiful vibrant purple flowers or keep trimmed back for deep green foliage. Frequent bloomer all summer. These make great tall back of bed filler or for planting in front of eye sore areas. They do tend to spread out of their area if allowed. They are very resilient and Hardy. I will send a generous amount bare rooted & trimmed, wrapped in damp paper towels. Just plant them, water and give them a few weeks of sunshine & you will be amazed. These are very Hardy & tolerant.
