@btpt hello, it is about 8 inches from top of bag to the Handel when it is extended. I took smother photo with a tape measure for you to see - I just added it to the post. There in one large center zip pocket, one interior side zip pocket and on the opposite interior a small open pocket. Please let me know if you have any other questions
