The Frantantoni Family has been making these terracotta glazed tiles for Vietri the famed Italian Stoneware maker since the 1980’s . First Stones refers to an ancient belief that placing these First Stones in a home assures blessings and prosperity and for the family. This charming cat plate has the First Stone story on the back and the Frantantoni family stamp as well as the family signature on the front. Tile has hanging hook on the back. Tile measures 11 inches long by 7 inches tall. Small chip on edge( see photo) not visible from the front.
