This is a really sweet Cottagecore handpainted, Ransburg metal, laundry soap flakes or powder dispenser. The Ransburg style of painting was popular and done between the 1930s and 1960s. You can find the matching metal and pottery canisters, salt and peppers and cookie jars online. These laundry soap containers in particular are fairly rare nowadays. This one’s a very pretty pale yellow and as you can see is quite timeworn and well loved with some shabby age-appropriate rust and flaking. Still solid. Cover will come off but I don’t want to force it. Nothing inside. Measures about 7 1/2” tall and 5” wide at the base. Please see all pictures. What you see is what you get. I’ve had this for years.
