Made in Europe, most likely Italy, may I offer this 14K Yellow Gold/585 (hallmarked on the underside of the wing as pictured) scatter pin or pendant (bale under head) depicting an insect - a fly is my best guess. With faceted round blue sapphire all over the body, the wings of the critter are solid gold and not pierced. Size is just under 3/4" long; wingspan is 13/16". Weight is 2.8 grams. Safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. Excellent condition with no problems I can spot. Just beautiful!
