Sharing this amazing guide on offering that @Shop_chars made. Honestly, when I was just a shopper on Poshmark I had no clue and at first approached things like I would at a yard sale—offer low & hope they accept. I cringe now thinking how offensive that was. But, since I’ve been selling on Poshmark myself I approach things differently, more like shopping at a vintage boutique in the city (but getting better deals). I hope this helps someone else as much as it helped me! There are several things in my closet that are priced low, & there’re several things that I’ll gladly take less for, but typically if it’s priced $50 I’m not selling it for $10, or if it’s $125, I’m not selling for $40. I also give free items a lot & often it’s of equal value!
As a courtesy to you I always consider shipping rates when pricing items. Whenever you are offered free shipping that is like getting nearly $10 off (on the seller not Poshmark) on top of whatever price you may be negotiating or bundle deal you are getting. I already automatically offer 15% off bundles but always take off more.
Just a friendly reminder that Poshmark takes 20% of sales over $15. So.. $4 to Poshmark on $20 $20 on $100 & so on... Poshmark also has a flat rate of $2.95 for sales under $15.
I just wanted you to know as you were shopping to please use this chart as a guide to consider an offer if you are interested in negotiating! 🤗
