Lot of 4 gorgeous antique or vintage Chinese snuff bottles. These bottles have exquisite reverse-painted glass designs. Intricately hand painted by artists using a difficult inside painting technique. They feature floral scenes on both sides with the smaller having a bird. Great condition, display quality. The gemstone caps open easily. The interiors appear to be frosted, no odors. The yellow floral one does not stand very well. Smaller has original spoon, sticker residue on the base and tiny bit of cork loss. I believe it to be older than the others. These are not signed or dated but appear to be early 20th century. The overall appearance displays stunning workmanship and a true work of art. The Chinese believed that snuff possessed medicinal qualities.
