This gorgeous hand-sewn quilt blanket was clearly made with love, attention to detail, and a whole lotta pretty little scrap fabrics. The star/flower shapes all have their own personality, and the border color is a kind of cool seafoam green/turquoise, repeated in little diamonds across the quilt face. Plus, it’s double-sided with a cute little blue and yellow floral pattern (backing)! Swear to dog, it’ll break your heart. 🪷✨🌈 It’s in flawless shape and I’ve stored it with care here in Appalachian Virginia, where it was likely made sometime in the last century. I’ve never even taken it out on a proper picnic— just laid it out in the grass for these pictures. 🧺🌿 Measures ~86 x 86” and can fit across a king-sized bed just so, or a queen-sized bed with a lovely amount of drape.
