Reja Sterling Bug Brooch - 1 3/4” x 1 3/4” 1940’s

According to my research, this Vintage signed Reja Sterling brooch was produced in 1945. The Jelly Belly is an enormous 1” x 3/4” prong set Dark Blue Rhinestone. I searched the internet but did not see another sapphire blue rhinestone set in a similar Reja brooch. There are a few condition issues: loss of vermeil on the front with a soft glow of vermeil on the back & legs; Missing rhinestone eyes & 1 missing rhinestone on neck; light tarnish. The pin is sturdy. Legs are intact. I did not have the red eyes replaced by a jewelry but you can. The brooch has been in my collection for about 35 years.
