Beautifully tailored, 1940s crepe robe with satin trim and tassel belt by Tula. Ideal (but not exclusively) for a wedding night or honeymoon. “Regal drama for the trousseau of a lovely bride” (vintage Tula ad).
COLORS: Ivory and red / coral
FABRIC: Medium weight crepe woven from narco rayon. Satin trim and tassels.

SIZE: No size tag, but fits like a S. Use measurements below to confirm fit. The robe is also somewhat adjustable (by moving or removing the interior hook & eye clasps). See below, and feel free to ask questions.

Shoulders (seam to seam): 15”
Chest (pit to pit): up to 19”
Waist: With interior clasps closed, the waist measure 14” across, laid flat. Clasps can be moved to fit up to 15” across waist without compromising the design of the robe. It fits snug in the waist of the model in pic #5, who is a size 6 / 29” waist.
LENGTH:
Collar to hem: 56”
Sleeves: 18” inseam
Belt: 6 feet long + 7” tassels at each end.
CONDITION: Extraordinary - with only a couple very faint spots on one side of the belt, which don’t show when worn.
History:
Tula, Samuel Landau’s elegant lingerie line, was known in the 1940s for its beautifully tailored hostess gowns and negligees. Landau later became a favorite in Hollywood, designing for the film and music industries.
