VTG Artesana Home Gourd w/ Pewter Leaves-Resinated Weighted Orange Brown Color- RATTLES Home Decor This lovely home decor piece is in VERY GOOD condition. There is a mark on it (see last photo) and I am not sure if it is original to the gourd. Since their process involves sanding them down 2 times before finished with resin, I believe it is natural. If you look closely, it seems natural to me but I can't confirm. All of Artesana Home gourds have been hand harvested and carefully picked to go into the drying process, which will take anywhere from several months to a year depending on the weather. Once the gourds are totally dried, only the best ones are selected. Each gourd is sanded down several times and then finished with a strong resin film to ensure long lasting quality.
