It’s against PM guidelines to leave the site to text & or to email. It’s important to keep all communication & sales on the app. PM will not help you AT ALL once you leave this app. This cancels PM’s responsibility to protect you. There’s been a major uptick with scams & hackers everywhere. They target new unsuspecting Poshers. Any 1 that says your photos are blurry any 1 that prompts you to text/email are scammers.

Want faster sales? More followers? More likes? More offers? Tap *Share*. Share your listings at least once a day *Share twice a day if you can. Also share the listings of Posh Ambassadors & they’ll “Share back” which means their followers will see your post which could lead to a sale. Your closet will rapidly grow followers if you share a lot. Sharing is the key 🔑 to Poshing. You don’t have to share but it is beneficial.

Want good ratings & reviews? Buyers are more likely to buy from a closet with 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟’s & kind remarks left in a review. Add a Ty note for the buyer. If you can “pretty packaging” is a nice touch. Most importantly pack with TLC so the item reaches buyer safely. Print your label & ship promptly. PM will remind u to ship after 4 days after 7 days sellers can cancel. Your shipping days record will be displayed in your “about me” section so buyers see it.

To Block a user - tap their username, in their closet tap the tiny gray dots at the top corner.
To Report a user- tap the tiny gray flag at the bottom of their comment. PM will delete reported comments from under your listing.
Scams are everywhere not just PM. You’ll be able to spot them right away the more you Posh. Most Poshers are good people. Don’t be discouraged by a few bad apples.

How to go Live? If you have the live feature you can schedule to stream in *My Posh Shows. PM has not given all users this feature yet. Most Poshers with it are happy to include you in their stream. You will earn it by making sales & by staying in good standing with PM. You don’t need Live to make sales. I haven’t used my live yet & I do well. You’ll be invited to tons of streams.

Why are you being invited to Lives? And Posh Parties? Joining these virtual gatherings are beneficial. You’re being included to share your listings here. This gives your post a boost. It’s also the chance to meet some cool people. I’ve made long lasting PM friends here. It doesn’t take much time or energy to participate. By joining u can learn to create your own shows & parties.

Listing your item? Get specific, the more detailed your description the better. Think of what you’d want to know when buying. Include fabric materials. Stretchy? Does it have a zipper? Take photos of front & back. Use your fav online shop for a baseline. Use stock pics for examples but people want to see exactly what they’re buying so include your item in pics. Always state if item has flaws.

**continued - When listing clothes- adding measurements helps. Sizing can vary from brand to brand. Have a tape measure handy when taking photos if you can is good. Or + the measurements to the description. This is helpful especially when selling jeans. There are so many different styles & fits. And every woman’s body is unique. Every bit of detail you can add helps you close that sale.

Disclaimer. Whether you do or don’t accept returns should be stated at the bottom of each listing. If you do not add “Final Sale” or “No returns” to the listing a buyer can & will be granted a return by PM upon request. The reason I don’t accept returns is, scams. Myself & 1000’s of sellers have items returned to them trashed/ruined. So it’s a waste of time & $. A disclaimer will protect u from false disputes.

Tags & Hashtags. What’s the point? Adding a “hashtag” relatable to your item for sale is very beneficial. This will pull your item up when searched in the search engine. Example- I post a wedding dress, I will tag at the bottom of my description; Wedding, Bride, Bridal, Engaged ect. You want the most eyes on your post & everything u can do to boost this will help sales. Some 1 out there is ISO your item!

When do I receive payment for a sale? 1. You must use the prepaid label PM sends you. When that label is scanned *delivered & the buyer *accepts their purchase PM will release payment to your “balance”. You can transfer funds to any account or use like credit to shop on PM. If buyer doesn’t *accept their order PM will release your funds after the 4th day after delivery. PM acts as a middle man until transaction is complete.

*A personal touch - improve ratings & reviews & get return customers. Speedy shipping remains top priority. In photos I include an example of a very simple TY note expressing your gratitude. Wrapping items is not a must but make the order presentable. When you receive a 5 star review a quick Ty to the buyer goes a long way. They’re helping your closet a-lot by taking time to review. Respond kindly to inquiries asap. When u have a positive transaction you’re more likely to revisit & shop again.

Need a break? Vacation? Close your closet temporarily. Go to the wrenches at the top corner of your closet, tap *More seller tools, tap *vacation hold. Select the dates you’ll be closed & reopening. The date you’ll be reopening will be displayed in a banner on your profile when users go to your closet. Users can scroll & like items. They can’t purchase until the date you mark for reopen.

Sales are down for everyone? I sold about 5 items a day. Today I sell about 5 a wk. Dont expect to sell everyday if you’re not on here sharing everyday. If you want to sell in a hurry you must be SHARING your listings, share to parties & join live shows. Tired of sharing your stuff? Share other user’s listings & they’ll share yours. PM is my hobby. But many need $. Things will get better, when $ is tight users buy less. Sales will fluctuate. Hang in there & we’ll get thru it 💛

PRICING. Many ask if their prices are👌🏽.PM will give an estimate of what your item sells at. However - Price your items where you’re comfortable. Some items go up in price because of rarity or sold out elsewhere. Consider wiggle room for negotiating when pricing. Nobody is forced to buy from you so don’t be bullied & there’s always the offer button. Scroll up for more tips.

What is a Bundle? If you scroll to the bottom of your listing you’ll see a box with a + sign in it. Tap it to add multiple items to 1 order, you will only pay 1 shipping fee! PM covers shipping labels have a 5 pound limit. After that you’ll have to request a special label. Encourage bundle orders by sending shoppers an offer they can’t refuse ☺️

Continued- What is a Bundle? You can also tap the “Bundle” sign to chat privately between yourself & another user. This would be the PM equivalent of direct messaging. It is the only way to message privately on this app.

Thanks so much for the advice! I’m having a huge influx of spammers, is there anything I can do to help prevent that? I’ve been reporting every comment as spam when they are comments mentioning emailing outside Poshmark.

@nem_27 hi unfortunately there’s no way to stop them altogether, other than blocking them 1 by 1. It’s quick & usually the accounts are linked back to 1 person. After they get the picture they usually give up & move on. I have the instructions to block in the comments above. I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with that. Ik it’s super annoying.

@traceyrico323 No worries! That’s exactly what I’ve been doing, I report the comments as spam and then report their accounts as spam. I just am getting about 2-3 a post right now and feel like the only interaction I’m getting is spammers! Wanted to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong! Thank you so much!

@fbmontiel hello so sorry to hear this. I tagged you under my post made to warn New users against scams & guide them in how to make sales safely. It’s 100% your choice to leave PM. However now that you’re able to identify these scams I’d encourage you to not let the bad apples spoil the bunch. 99% of Poshers are genuine users. I wish there was a way to be rid of this issue altogether unfortunately scams are everywhere in the online space. 💛

Taxes on sales!? If you intend to sell for a continual bases you may owe taxes on your PM profits. If you earn $600 in sales you’ll likely owe taxes. Of course, this varies depending on how much you sell & your profit. It may not be an issue for you. If you profit over $600 be aware you’ll have to download a 1099. Just look into it, be prepared. Google has clear PM tax info.

🚨 A Warning About Spam- I covered the scams now let’s talk spams. If I could start my closet again I wouldn’t follow all back. You’ll be bombarded by certain/many closets on a daily about “Sales”. This is triggered by liking their item, making a bundle or simply following them. This clogs up your notifications. It equates to junk mail. It has become a major issue here so be careful of who you follow back.

@dianew3128 in the comments I have tips. Scroll bottom categories click your username, scroll to *My sales. There will be a photo of each item you sold. Click it & you can print your shipping label from PM. Pack your item & tape the label to your package & ship. It gets easier with every sale. Congrats on your success!

@hourglass_shoes here is my tips thread 💗👍🏽☺️ Many things you have already learned but there are a few lil tips n tricks that can equal the formula for success. 1 thing I don’t do that does help sales is go “live” when you get to Ambassador you’ll most likely get the option to do so. I’m in Hawaii so the time difference makes it a bust for me. Anywho I wish you many many sales 😘

Update for photo edits!!! To turn off smart edits where Posh App trims your photos & fills in your title & description.. right under your photo switch to “Classic” mode. This gives you full ability to edit your photo’s & description on your own. I highly recommend this because this update is bad for buyers viewing your listing.

What does it mean when people add your item to a Bundle? I see a lot of feedback: following, likes and shares… Do offers come when someone wants to purchase or sends an offer? Trying to navigate sale closing. Super helpful tip to disclose “final sale” and take pictures. You are appreciated!

About returns tho, adding “no returns” might turn some scammers away, but if they know Poshmark return policy, it probably won’t, considering that Poshmark makes the decision on all returns regardless of what sellers write in their listing.

UPDATE- PM is NO longer using “Priority” shipping. We have switched to “Ground” go to the U SPS site & enter your closet name for FREE Ground Shipping boxes. ORDER FREE SHIPPING BOXES W-YOUR CLOSET//USER NAME. If you ship in a “Priority” box you’ll be charged $5 extra fee.

To “Narrow” or short cut your search when shopping, use the 🔍 magnifying glass icon at the top of a closet. Tap it & enter keywords for example: Mens wear, Pink, Lip gloss, Jeans, Lily, PacSun. -It will filter & pull up all related posts instead of scrolling an entire closet. You can use it on your own closet too, use it to pull up a listing to edit or share it. Saves time.. & time is $ 😉
