Ancient revival ring with a ram.
This is a very unusual and beautiful ring designed in the 19th century with a mix of ancient Etruscan and Egyptian revival patterns. The ring is of European origin and most probably made in England during the middle of the Victorian era, back in the 1860. The ring has been crafted in one solid piece of rich yellow gold of 22 karats with the stylized head of a male-ram with very long horns. The ring is very well executed with nice details of the sculpted ram's head, which is decorated with chiseled and engraved patterns. The ring is embellished with a natural earth mine blue-gray sapphire. This is really a gorgeous piece and what we most like, is the simplicity of their design. The ring speak by himself and is a marvelous piece.
Sapphire: Mount on top, with 1 semi oval cabochon cut (7 x 9 6 mm) of a natural blue-grayish sapphire of about 2.5 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphire for the month of September.
Weight: 12.95 Grams, (8.35 Dwt).
Size: 10 and may be sized on special request. We recommend a special ring sizer to not alter the antique piece.
Measurements: 26 mm by 12 mm (1.02 x 0.47 Inches) and raise 7 mm over the finger
Hallmarks: Unmarked as usual, but electronically tested for 22 karats, (.919/.999 Au).
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The sapphire is secured
