Vintage 1950s Freeman McFarlin art pottery cat pair sculpture. - Large sized pair of cats nuzzling into each other created with gold leaf finish. - Freeman McFarlin was founded by Gerald McFarlin and Maynard Anthony Freeman in the 1927 and they operated McFarlin Potteries in El Monte California. - Hand applied gold leaf finish. In places the Venetian red base used to enhance the vibrancy of the leaf shows through which as described by the tag is intentional and gives each piece its individual character. - Made in California - Inscribed with Anthony Freeman's signature on the base, which means he specifically designed this piece. - Unusual for being complete with original swing tag. No cracks, chips or other faults noted. Measurements: 12" x 10 1/4" x 5"
