Vintage Crystal Glass Bowl Ornate 4 foot Pedestal Metal Base Hollywood Reg MCM

Vintage 1950-60s Glass Bowl Ornate 4 foot Pedestal Metal Base Hollywood Regency MCM compote. Wavy rim and pressed glassed detailed flowers on the sides. Metal 4-foot brass finish ornate art nouveau style raised decorated base appears to have an electroplate finish. Measures 3 3/4" T x 4 1/2" top diameter x 4 1/4" dia base. It is a small piece but very elegant. Wonderful piece to use on vanity as hair accessory/jewelry holder, in bathroom for scented soaps, candy holder or display on its own. It is possible this piece was made prior to 1950. The base shows rough cut edges, and it has 2 inside crack fractures each extending from the center brass pin about 1" or so. I believe this happened when the glass was placed on the base and pinned. I do not believe the cracks will extend beyond. With vintage antique items this is often seen. Very good condition. Glass is clear. No chips or scratches. Bright brass finish pedestal. Unmarked adding to its mystery and allure. Weight 11 oz.
