Exquisite Vintage French style hand fan. Clearly hand made in solid Sterling Silver! Bi-functional; can be worn as a Brooch Pin or Necklace Pendant, and I am including a NEW made in italy .8mm 22" box chain as well, for your wearing convenience. This has been a difficult piece to research, as it is Marked 925 but does not include a makers mark. Please use your own discernment, as the following info is only of my opinion. I enjoy being able to share accurate information as much as possible on vintage pieces. To me it matters Through researching, I found that this design has been used by several makers (this isn't unusual), and each different piece wildly ranges in price from almost $500 to $35(silver plate) This design has been presented as being Japanese, however (being part Japanese myself) it's obvious to me, that this design more-so depicts a French style hand fan. Some also speculate as to this being an Art Nouveau Era design. This may or may not be true- As French hand fans display these beautiful intricate floral details across the eras. There's really not a whole lot to tell with certainty just how old this specific piece is.
