Royal Geographical Globe Clock designed by Richard Good with Swiss clockwork by by Arthur Imhof.
Made in 1979 for Samuel R. Connor as shown on the plaque. Typically the plaque was on the front of the clock, but I put it in the back when I reassembled it after service and polishing.
Measures 11” tall x 8.75” wide x 8.75” deep
The clock & globe is mounted to a black ebonized wooden base and is surrounded by a gold plated brass frame.
The Imhof movement has 15 jewels and runs for 8 days on each winding. It has been serviced and keeps good time. There is a screw under the plate on the bottom of the clock if the speed needs adjustment.
The time is viewed in the front by means of the triangular pointer. The Roman numerals go to 24 hours.
The time is set and the clock is wound using the knob on the back. Spin it to wind, pull and spin to set the time.
Would make an amazing gift!
