Absolutely stunning. This beautiful 1950’s original, Dofan Calfskin Bag from France is that and more. Made from genuine Calfskin, it is truly one that is artistic and elegant. Dofan was a maker of some of finest, most highly coveted handbags of the twentieth century. To this day, the premium French models, such as this sterling beauty are seldom seen and highly sought after. The reason; the high quality craftsmanship, the genuine gold plating, and the quality of the skins. This circa 1956 Dofan is in great condition considering and an excellent item to add to your collection. The straps can be fully removed and adjusted by snaps on the length and snapped in place on the side with the gold plated hardware. It can go from a crossbody to an over the shoulder as shown in pics. Callouts: some rubbing on gold plated hardware, some rubbing on the inside pockets shown in pics.
