@vickievanosdol haha. I’m the buyer, I read some stuff after buying them and I’m trying to make sure they are authentic. You stated you can’t wear anymore because of arthritis, so maybe you can remember how long ago you purchased?

@kimbers2021 I think I’ve had them for like half a dozen years maybe? I recently redid my floors and I’ve been cleaning my closet and clothes that don’t fit me. I’ve been taking to the resale shop and I tried to wear these one day and they were really hurting my toe. I figured I’d sell them but I’ve had a couple shoes that hurt my big toe! I had some beautiful Cordero that I couldn’t even get my toe through and had to sell them earlier in the year…

The yellow writing is for sure pre-2017. There’s just other little things that indicate if they’re authentic or not…. The size of the pattern on the bottom, the size of the X in between the pattern. and then things like how the Birkenstocks emblem is embedded on the sides of the leather. It’s crazy.

@kimbers2021 wow that’s so interesting to know I’m actually wearing a pair of three strap Birkenstocks I have probably had for over 25 years. I think I wish I could send you a picture of them, but I don’t think people wear the strap as much anymore, they want the two strap.

@kimbers2021 I have another pair of Birkenstock like sandals that is another brand name which I can’t remember right now I’m out but they are so comfortable and I heard it was the cheaper version of Birkenstock. I think it starts with a B also but I have to look when I get home.

@kimbers2021 I recently bought a pair at a local store that carries a lot of Birkenstocks. It’s called MAYARI and I love them. They’re very comfortable. I got like a mocha color. They weren’t as expensive as some of the other ones I think 95$
