dearer @tward_93 Hi there! So sorry I missed your comment. Yes, I wore this when I was a 14. It is 18 inches across on the waistband while laying flat. The elastic is nice and wide, about 2 inches, and has a fair amount of give. The current Ann Taylor size chart gives the following measurements for an XL: 35.5 inches waist, 45.5 inches hip. Hope that helps! (I also have some size 14 skirts in my closet that I would bundle as a discount)
