Beautifully aged vintage Washington Manufacturing Company fabric tape measure Unique sewing and advertising collectible, still very usable and looks great displayed with similar pieces Features a cardboard spool base with an attached, double-sided cloth tape measure I found this unusual piece many years ago at an estate sale I discovered that the Washington Mfg Co was, at one time, one of America’s largest clothing makers and operated from the early 1900s to the 1980s This is an earlier piece probably dating from around the 1940s-50s or earlier There’s lettering along the edge but I can’t quite figure out what it says (photos 3, 7-8) Preowned condition with all over wear to the cardboard spool The cloth tape also has stains and wear from many decades of use, I think this adds to the charm of this piece (enlarge photos for details) Please see all photos as part of the description
