24" Wooden Paddle made by Peavey Manufacturing Co., advertising L.L.Bean Inc., Freeport, ME. On one side there is a mother bear followed by a baby bear and the words, "FOR THE BEAR BEHIND", Made in Maine by Peavey Mfg. Co. On the other side are the words, "L.L.Bean Inc, Freeport, ME. This paddle is 24" long. There is a small chip around the lower edge of the paddle end (see photo). The patina is in great condition. The printing is clear and fully intact. No cracks. This is a great collectible piece for L.L.Bean which originated in 1912; and for Peavey Mfg Co which was founded in 1847.
