@purplepassion47 hi & thanks for stopping by my closet. I'm sorry that I'm only now seeing your message. No, the chain strap isn't made to be removable. It does fit nicely, without being noticeable to others, inside the purse for when you don't want to use it & I'm sure the links could be opened with pliers to remove it, but it's not made to be removed.
