Vintage Pottery Stine Commemorating Miami Dolphins AFC Championship Win 1972

This pottery stine depicting a headline from sports section of The Miami Herald on Monday, January 3, 2972, says it all: The Dolphins beat the Colts 21-0 to win the AFC Championship game, afording them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, they lost, beaten handily by the Cowboys. But the rest of the story: After that devastating loss, the Dolphins went on to begin their trek to the perfect season, winning all games, including the 1973 Super Bowl and repeating it the following year, 2974. I live in Miami and we had season tickets for the many years the Dolphins played in The Orange Bowl. I bought this stine for my husband in 1972. The Dolphins remain the winningest team in the NFL. This stine, in white with gold trim, is 52 tears old and is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing. This would be the perfect Christmas gift for the Dol-Fan on your list.
