This definitely a one of a kind. The handwork is incredible with both sides looking the same. I believe it to be Victorian (1890-1900) and the hand made work to have take a year+. It has very small, pin size, not noticeable holes, which are in the photos above. Totally not noticeable. The embroidery is in impeccable shape. The entire shawl has been photographed. This also could have been used as a "piano shawl" which was common in this period.

magnificentposh @ladylivedior1 I live in Asheville where the storm just came through. We have no electricity, no water, no cell service, no WiFi. I drove several miles to check email. The shawl was photographed both sides up close. It is approximately 150 years old. Look at photos up close. It is beautiful when you wear it as a shawl. It is not perfect but doesn’t look 150 years old

kjyee16 This not is supposed to go under the sales messages, but I can't get it to go there. Thank you. I have beautiful Saris that I wish I could wear, but fear cultural appropriation if I were to wear them. I have always wanted shawls like these. They are also generational items if cared for appropriately. I have 5 daughters. I know at least 2 will want them at some point. I also love beaded handbags.
