Authentic Louis Vuitton vintage compiegne 30 clutch converted to crossbody bag
Date code (hard to read) SL0940 (from 1990)
Beautiful bag
Does have some flaws (cracking to top, darkened vachetta leather, darkened hardware, peeling to outer pocket but it’s not sticky) flaws don’t effect functionality of bag
Interior is very clean
From smoke free home and free of any odd odors
Rings added to side to make into crossbody bag, though you can still use as a clutch

Overall great condition
Comes with authentic Louis Vuitton dust bag (about 2 years old) and new generic strap (does have LV logo on it)

Hi..a couple of questions......the cracking on top...is that to the piping? Can the vachetta leather be treated to make it look more uniform? I have never owned a Louis so I just don't know. So the inside of the bag is not sticky or damaged? Does the zipper function properly? What are the measurements of the inside slip pockets as I was hoping my smaller iPhone would fit. I wanted to confirm again that there are. no odors, age, or perfume. Are you the original owner?

The outter pocket did have some peeling which is very common in vintage Louis Vuitton bags. However, it’s not sticky like some of them can get, you can easily put items in their without “smut” from the bag getting on any of your items. I have a bigger iPhone pro max and it fits easily in putter pouch/pocket.
I’m sure if you condition the bag with leather conditioner it might make it appear more uniform.

There is not cracking to the piping at the top but along side some of the piping there is some separation. L it’s not very noticeable but I like to list all the flaws in my listings.
As far are scents go- the bag really doesn’t have any scent to it. There might be a leather type smell. But that’s all.

I’ve owned and resold many vintage LV bags, I would say this bag is in pretty good condition considering its age and it has many years to go!
