Multi-talented artist (drawings, paintings, etc.), Roger Blachon was published in national newspapers and participated in many works published by the biggest publishing houses. He passed away prematurely in 2008. He had presented his last exhibition in 2007 in St-Restitut.
Originally he was from Roman.
Illustrator, poster artist, cartoonist and humorous cartoonist, he has scratched the pages of many magazines with his pencils Lui, Notre temps, Le Nouvel Observateur, etc.), accompanying the most diverse texts with his poetic and acid humor. A member of the Humoristes Associés, the "HA", a collective of cartoonists, he has participated in numerous works on wine, food, the sea, and skiing. At the same time, his drawings rub shoulders with the signatures of the greatest (Raymond Queneau, James Joyce, Daniel Boulanger, Georges Brasses or Antoine Blondin) published by the biggest publishing houses, Gallimard and Denoël among others.
His work has been presented in numerous personal exhibitions in France (Paris, Antibes, Marseille, Niort, Vienne, Bollène, Saint-Quentin) and abroad (New York, Lausanne, Brussels, Kyoto). In Germany, his publisher, Heye, publishes and distributes many derivative products.
