The current market is deluged with modern reproductions and re-silvered, refinished, restored, and re-gilded original antiques. These depreciating processes are comparatively similar to "in-painting" in fine art, "lacquered" brass antiques, furniture with "married" elements and/or original patinas removed and "restored", re-applied gilt and gold leaf. Only restored with a reputable restoration company. While esthetically pleasing, the "cost" of the significantly depreciated value is unfortunately relocated to the uninformed and unsuspecting purchaser if not using a noteworthy restoration firm.(Can recommend throughout the U.S. in major metropolitan cities)
Priced accordingly to be only expertly restored.
Acquired/Imported from London, England, U.K.

Just outside London. Original Regency period convex mirrors are in high demand. I never restored this one because we liked it character. If it is restored, it will be worth 4k-5k. Silvered mirror back is original, very rare.

@vintagevulgar8 Upon looking at your inventory, it makes sense that you appreciate it and have questions. We ran an import/export business and received requests numerous times for this. Was fortunate to have found it, but kept it until now.

BTW, I have been assisting a few Posher friends on here. If you have any questions in the future before making an antique or vintage purchase, I will offer my opinion. My background was in International appraising before recently retiring to spend more time with family.
