Genuine Staffordshire flat-backed figure dating back to 1965-1870. Features a standing male Highland Scottish bagpiper and his sheepdog with hand painted details and gilding around base. thank you for the piece! I love his pudgy face and the sweet dog. I have many Victorian Staffordshire pieces and several bag pipers but this one really caught my eye. Perhaps he was modeled after a real person... Please

@urantjo I know he’s so cute. I do love the detail in his face. He could be based on a real person but I was never able to determine that for sure. I have 2 other Staffordshire figurines in my closet. Figures of a girl riding a St. Bernard. She should match to a boy also riding a St. Bernard but I have not gotten my hands on the matching boys yet. My in laws were serious collectors and passed these down to us.
