Genuine Staffordshire Victorian figure dating back to 1860 This hand-painted figure is one of a pair and is a piece being sold from a collection owned by a notable antique dealer from North Carolina. It features a Victorian girl child riding her St. Bernard dog. It also features Staffordshire's signature cobalt blue, beautiful pale yellow, and gilded details. They sit atop a beautifully hand-painted base with Staffordshire signature gilding around the base. Check out the attention to detail in the dog's fur, child's face, dogs face, etc...) The figure is in very good shape, but has imperfections consistent with the piece's age. There are areas where the paint has been worn and she has a crack on the backside.
