Painted leather by Canadian artisan (initialed at the back) It was part of a collection of native Canadian flowers. This is the Virgin slipper, the emblem of Prince Edward Island. Vintage: Purchased the emblem of each province as a set in the early 1980's. Was planning to do a collage inside a frame, but never did so this brooch was never used. See picture for the closure. The 25 cents is to give you an idea of the size. Mint.
