There's a hinge on the backside of the bracelet that allows easy removal. It has a subtle shine, and it bounces the light beautifully for that gleaming sparkle you'd expect from such cut gems. This is a rather small fit, so the hinge definitely helps a ton to keep it comfortable when putting on/off. I've had this one for a long time, and it's weathered, but very well-loved.
