A beautiful, vintage messenger bag / attache bag. Circa 1980s. Great statement piece for lightweight items. BRAND Unbranded (made in Hong Kong) DETAILS - messenger bag / attache style - exterior is a mix of red-burgundy and black with brass-toned hardware - patent leather snakeskin exterior (front and sides) - solid leather on back, bottom, handle and strap - turn-lock closure - leather top handle - interior has a red, velvet-like lining - interior has four compartments: two with zipper closures and two with no closure - removable shoulder strap attaches to the side hardware with snap closures. (**NOTE: this isn't strong enough for carrying especially heavy things, e.g. a laptop. In fact, both sides of the strap have slight bends, which leads me to think the previous owner knotted the ends around the hardware to hold the stap more securely). APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS 12" height 16" width 2" depth at the base (unextended) 20" shoulder drop CONDITION AND NOTES Overall, good preowned condition. Special notes: - some mild to moderate scuffs, imperfections and discoloration on the exterior and interior - some of the brass tone on the turn lock has worn off - it looks like the previous owner used clear glue to repair areas where the lining was starting to pull away from the sides - over time, the paper lining between the snakeskin and velvet has stiffened. In the video, when gentle pressure is applied, a crackle can be heard. Does not affect function.
