Original listing: Antique chunky sterling silver double Albert chain. This watch chain dates to the early 20th century. It's designed with two matching sections with a dog clip on each end and a t-bar in the centre. Each matching half has beautifully graduated links which are narrower toward the ends and centre and wider in the middle. While this piece was originally made for a man's pocket watch, it's long enough to wear as a chain necklace, making it very wearable for the modern woman. The dog clips are useful to adding charms and pendants. Circa 1910s. Hallmarked on the t-bar and dog clips, date letter for 1912. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant which have worn with age and general use. Measures approx 42 cm / 16.5 inches wearable length. Curb links are 6.7 mm to 9.8 mm wide. Weighs 66 grams. This is a substantial piece with a nice weight.
