This model of Timex Mercury was made in 1968-1970 and was famously worn by Martin Luther King Jr. With a trusty mechanical wind, the Mercury was an everyday dress watch. This watch still looks great over 50 years later and runs like a champ. It is worn, but as expected for a watch of this age. To be clear: MLK didn’t wear this exact watch, just the same model, hence it is affectionately known in the watch collecting community as the Timex MLK.
