This 1940’s vintage beautiful wool tweed overcoat is a classic. There are approximately 11 or 12 small holes, the largest two are shown in the photos with a Lincoln cent. All holes can be easily repaired and would not be noticeable with the tweed. This overcoat would be a man’s small or a woman’s medium.
Collar to hem length measured from back is 47 inches
Shoulder to shoulder measured from back at widest point is 18-1/2 inches
Armpit to seam cuff is 16 inches

Hello! What's the pit-to-pit measurement when it's laying down?

Thank you! I don't know what to do with the inside measurement, unfortunately, because the seam can be in different places. I meant on the outside, ignoring seams, like the 12th picture in this listing (the first picture of measurements):

Hello! Don't mean to be a bother, but could you measure the armpit-to-armpit from the outside, when the coat is buttoned and laying down? (Ignoring seams)

Thanks for the info! The offer I sent is close to a day's wages for me on the farm, which I think is fair with 11 or 12 little holes—I repair my clothes, and am up to the challenge, but that will definitely take a while! If you have another price that you think is fair feel free to counteroffer it.

Hi! If you have a counteroffer that you think would be fair, whatever it be, I'd be grateful if you sent it over, so I can figure out if I can/should do it. I also sent my offer based on what I see similar coats going for often enough (though, to be fair, they're often more), but I understand that something's value is not always just what it's sold for.
