Vintage 1920 “Flapper’s” Enameled Chainmail Evening Bag

Over 100 years old, this gold tone enameled metal mesh bag belonged to my grandmother photographed w/it in 1919. No makers mark. The mesh is as light and floaty as butterfly wings…swishes in waves with movement. Predominantly gold black white and green with bits of red/pink in an Art Deco geometric design. The enameled frame has four hinges — opens enough to fit in hand (very thin 4” deep X 6” wide) — fits only a credit card small lipstick and a tissue. Original silk lining was in total shreds so recently relined. The chain handle is 7” long, sturdily constructed and all in excellent condition. One minor scratch on back corner of frame — see last picture. FUN stunning show stopper!!!
