@atogsounds I don't see scratches. however this is a natural abalone shell untreated . a lot of "abalone" jewelry is fake plastic or resin coated so it looks flawless and shiny.

@atogsounds the shell isn't perfectly flat shiny and flawless..it has some areas that are not perfect and some areas that are tougher than others. because as I said it's natural and in nature there are imperfections.

the only perfect abalone u will find would be if someone ruins it with resin poured on top of it and that makes it look smooth or if you buy fake abalone
