This is the vintage Coach leather Drawstring Soft Flap. This early 1980’s style was known as the Model 4050. Purchased from the set wardrobe sale in July 2024 from the CBS TV Show, Blue Bloods in NYC. In 1980, Coach released their new Lightweight Collection and even though they were called lightweight, the leathers were still thick and rich. They were given a special treatment resulting in a leather that has that richness that is so comfortable to touch. On the front, this Coach has a full-length pocket with the drawstring and slide. Pull the leather slide to a suede interior of the front pocket. Open the main compartment and there is a single zippered pocket with the creed and serial number: 805-8861. The leather "string" is supple, clean, and has no breaks or wear. On the exterior, the leather needs to be conditioned and there are visible spots on the top back portion as well as a spot on the front top right. Interior is clean. The original one-sided hang-tag is present on the solid brass chain. The bag measures approximately 10" L x 8 ½ “H x 3" D and the adjustable strap is 42" long. Can be converted to a cross body.
