1958 Grand Prix of Cuba Event Poster Autographed / Signed by Juan Manuel Fangio. Featuring the Lancia-Ferrari D50, this was the infamous race where Juan Manuel Fangio was kidnapped by militants of Castro’s movement. This 1958 Cuba Grand Prix reproduction poster was autographed in person by Juan Manuel Fangio. It is a limited-edition piece and measures approximately 28" × 19″ (71cm x 48cm). In current frame, the measurement is approximately 31" x 21". This fantastic historical signed item comes with a signing photo and Fangio’s original business card. The artwork shows a retro style painting of a Lancia Ferrari D50. The 1958 event was made famous as Fangio was taken hostage during a political coup in 1958. The shortened race was won by Stirling Moss in his Ferrari 335S Sport. This poster was signed by Fangio on May 3, 1994, which was tragically a few days before Juan had a heart attack. This means this is among his last signatures ever in an edition. Very Good condition with a few minor ripples and wear from handling.
