A true antique statement piece. This is a Mary Gregory hand enameled blue glass pitcher. The term 'Mary Gregory' indicates a style of glass rather than a manufacturer. It originates from the myth that a lady in USA named Mary Gregory painted scenes of children on thousands of items of glassware. It is now known that this style of glass originated from Bohemia, not America.
The pitcher itself is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. The enamel figure and landscape is in excellent condition for its age but please see pictures as there is minor wear. There is gold trim on the handle and around the edges shows more significant signs of wear.
