poshhomes I adore birds! Just finished raising a baby sparrow hawk "Horus" & Blue Jay "Beauregard" this summer and it's alot of work but so much joy especially when I see them around my property and "Beauregard" comes to snack on my barn cats food. Amazing bird you have on your arm!

poshhomes @arizonakelly I have 20 acres and somehow they found me! But Id done this quite a few times with other birds and animals. Guess it was meant to be. I also have peacocks, ducks, various types of chickens, guinea fowl, goats, cows & a donkey. I'm still a beginner farmer since covid I left the suburbs and moved full time to my farm house.

thepangolin Oh my goodness, you're amazing, I love your photo! I feel so happy to see such a bird lover. I can't say I've ever held a Eurasian Eagle Owl, but I feed our variety of birds daily and really just admire them, and love watching them. But I also love bugs and everything else (all the things you don't hear a lot about). Thanks for being you, this was great to see!! Strangely (since they migrate to Mexico and I live in AZ) I've not seen monarchs where I live. Maybe because I live at 5000 ft elevation? There is a neat exhibit in Scottsdale AZ called https://butterflywonderland.com/ One of their exhibits is a hundreds of live butterflies in various states of ...coccoonery? It's so amazing to see how they develop!

kebylynn Hi Kelly! Love this photo! Bird lover here as well. I especially love owls. Here in West Seattle we have Barred Owls we see now and then. One night one hooted loudly outside our window and when I went online to find out which bird it was, ornithologists described their calls as “who cooks for you…who cooks for you” 😄 Anyway it’s nice to meet you. Thanks for the offer on the Lady Day Coat but I might have to hold off till I make more room in my closet 😂

arizonakelly @kebylynn Hi there, nice to meet you! I think I get more excited when a bird lover comments on this photo than when I make a sale. I have never seen a barred owl in the wild. Years ago, I mounted two screech owl houses on 10 foot poles in my yard. Every year house finches raise multiple clutches in them--d'oh! Thanks for saying hi and I hope you have a great Sunday. :)

the_octopus Wow-that’s a huge owl! I also live in AZ and we get a ton of hooters where I am - near Scottsdale. I love to try to find them when I hear their hoots. Good luck with your closet - I’ve noticed it a couple times because AZ and also the bundle quote LOL

andine This is amazing! Love that you’re a bird-lover. You also have a fabulous closet! We have had lovebirds and a Caique who was such a silly clown! Soooo smart. And we have at least 4 hummingbird feeders around the house - they come right up to us. SO TINY!!! My husband’s favorite bird is the Owl. And I swear one of our Siamese kitties is part owl (she turns her head around and has giant round eyes and a very intense expression, also super smart!) ❤️

But, one of the most fun things I’ve done with birds is to do some falconry while in Ireland a couple of years ago. I’m rambling, so I’ll let you go. We have the western bluebird here, but I've only rarely seen them. I've been to Ireland, too, but getting to do falconry there must have been really something!! sunnyval33 Hi Kelly! I too am a bird lover! I especially love Sunny, my Sun Conure parrot! She is the LOVE of my life! Her doctor is Brian Speer in Oakley, California. He is the very best! His hospital is Medical Center for Birds. Not sure if you’ve heard of him, but all he does is treat every bird imaginable: Parrots, chickens, ostriches, penguins, emus, eagles, hawks, etc. So happy to have connected with you! And by the way, beautiful owl!!!

sunnyval33 @arizonakelly Wow! What a small world! Everybody knows Dr. Speer! He is awesome! I just talked to him this morning. I’ll see if I can figure out a way to send you a photo of Dr. Speer and Sunny. He has a new hospital and tore down the old one, but built the new hospital on the same property. He named an examination room after Sunny!
