Delightful large, lidded box (candy jar) by Fitz and Floyd, from the retired Ballooning Bunnies collection. At first glance, you’d think this was a highly detailed figurine, but actually it’s two pieces because it’s a large lidded box or candy jar. (It’s not big enough to be a full sized cookie jar in my opinion.) This piece IS GORGEOUS! There’s two rabbits seated at a table, holding hands. One rabbit is a dapper gentleman, dressed in a suit coat and hat. The other is a beautiful lady. She wears a beautiful dress, hat, and holds a purse and fan. They look as if they’re getting ready to kiss across the table. Behind them, two small “children” bunnies look on. One peeks over the table, the other holds a large, colorful bouquet of balloons. The detail in this piece is incredible! The colors are bright, and the juxtaposition of patterns makes this piece quite eye catching! Bottom is marked Fitz and Floyd and is dated 1995. The original FF adhesive sticker remains on the bottom, as is the TJ Maxx adhesive price tag from when I purchased this over 20 years ago. Excellent condition. It’s perfect for spring, Easter, bunny and rabbit collectors, balloon enthusiasts, fans of vintage Fitz & Floyd, or anyone that appreciates beautiful, vintage pieces.
