This is one of the many houses, buildings, figurines, and accessories in the Colonial Village Collection.
It is called "Grand Opera". Thanks to Mr. Tutwiler's generous donation, the Village boasts a gleaming Grand Opera House. On performance days, Seth Gordon parades the streets of Colonial Village, wearing sandwich boards that advertise the current lavish production. The Grand Opera House reigns over the cultural life of the village.
Its Beaux Arts styling incorporates classical pillars and vertical bands of contrasting quoins. Inside, a marble lobby leads to a gilded auditorium with plush velvet seats.
Since Lefton has changed ownership, this collection is no longer being produced. Therefore, this series is no longer available in the retail market except for pieces that they just happen to have in stock. It is in excellent condition.
It is marked "1997, Geo. Z.Lefton., 11260". It is stamped with the Lefton gold crown and the red and gold foil label is also still attached. It measures approximately
9-1/4" tall, 7" wide at the base. Light not included.
