@momwearsclothes No I never had it altered. I'm tall (5' 10) so with heals the hem didn't touch the ground. From the satin waist band to the bottom hem is 47". Most women may need to have it shortened

@momwearsclothes There isn't much give or stretch in the waist part with the satin band. The lace fabric and inner lining has a little stretch, but the waist structure is sturdy
