New inbox, never opened. Part of the Mopar parts division license products from the Chrysler Corp. This diecast collectible is still in box. Manufacturer date looks like July 1, 1992.
Car measured approximately 6 1/2 inches long and about 2 3/4 inches tall. I can’t tell for sure because it is still in its original packaging and I didn’t want to open it up.
For more than 50 years, the street rod has played a significant part in America's love aft following has occasionally been diminished as a result of war or temporary infatuatic ith other forms of automobilia, but there has always been a hardcore group of street d enthusiasts who have seen it through the hard times. Street rodding is now one of e most popular automotive pastimes in the world. In simple terms, a street rod is asically an old car which has been modified by dispensing with the original nechanical parts and substituting those from one or more later automobiles, with a fair proportion of specially made high-performance components. It is generally accepted that 1948 is the cut-off year for street rods; anything built after this date would nut really qualify as a rod.
The 1941 Willys has been very popular with the street rod restoration market. Predecessor to the Kaiser-Jeep Corporation, the Willys-Overland Company introduced a newly-styled version of their two door coupe in 1941. Redesigned with a sleeker, more aerodynamic body the Model 77 re-emerged in 1941 as what we know today as the Willys Americar.
