no sign of wear on it. no tarnishing or discoloration somewhat magnetized but doesn't lift far from the table when a magnet is put to it. so might be gold plated but I'm not to sure. gold tone snake chain flat chain length is 8.5 inches (when clasped ) full length is 18 inches width is 4cm height is 1 cm
