Dave coined the term "Jams", short for pajama.- and Jams World was born. He opened Surf Line Hawaii, Ltd., a surf shop on Kona Street in Honolulu, and his first pair of commercial Jams hit Makaha Beach in December 1964. Today, the iconic bold and colorful Jams World pieces are as popular as ever, especially in its home state of Hawai'i.
